My perinatologist called me about an hour ago...at 6:30 at night. Which is awesome. Something completely unexpected. I'm a fan.
Anyway, he has put me on insulin. Both types. I have to take the long acting insulin twice a day, and the short acting with every meal. I have to wake myself up in the middle of the night to give myself an injection of the long-acting stuff. Awesome.
I'm nervous about it. I got all of my stuff, but I'm going to have my wondrous school nurse talk me through it tomorrow. I'm just not ready. I can't just have the pharmacist show me. I need a little more support than that.
So tomorrow's the day. I'll let you know how it goes. :)
